Single-Frame Observation Hive – Educational Bee Viewing Display

See the Colony Up Close

Bring the inner workings of a honey bee colony into clear view with the Apiary Gear Single-Frame Observation Hive.

Designed to hold one standard bee frame between two transparent viewing panels, it gives students, new beekeepers and event visitors a close-up look at bees working across the comb—without opening a full-size hive.

It's an ideal tool for classrooms, beekeeping clubs, fairs, farmers markets, demonstrations and educational programs.

A Powerful Educational Display

With bees visible from both sides of the frame, observers can watch real colony activity up close, including:

• Worker bees moving across the comb
• Brood and capped cells
• Stored pollen and honey
• Queen activity when she is present on the selected frame
• Bee-to-bee interaction and movement

Because every frame will be different, each display becomes its own live lesson in honey bee biology.

Single-Frame Viewing Design

The narrow single-frame format keeps the comb close to the viewing panels for excellent visibility.

A sturdy timber structure supports the frame while clear side panels provide an unobstructed view from both sides.

Made for Demonstrations & Short-Term Observation

This hive is especially useful when you want to temporarily remove a populated frame from an established colony for:

• School demonstrations
• Bee club meetings
• Agricultural fairs
• Farmers markets
• Science and STEM programs
• Public beekeeping education

After the demonstration, the frame and bees can be returned to their colony according to your normal hive-management practices.

Secure Display Stand

The included stand keeps the observation hive upright during use, while the side-lock system helps keep the viewing chamber securely closed.

Use With Live Bees Responsibly

This product is designed for experienced beekeepers or supervised educational use.

Live bees and frames are not included.

Always provide appropriate ventilation, avoid excessive heat and direct sunlight, and follow local requirements when displaying or transporting live bees.
