The Apiary Gear Queen Isolation Cage gives you a simple way to temporarily confine a queen directly on the comb while allowing worker bees to remain in contact with her.

Whether you're managing a brood break, working with a queen during hive management, or temporarily restricting her movement, the cage creates a secure enclosed area without removing the entire frame from the hive.

Comb-Mounted Design

Four integrated legs press gently into the comb to hold the cage securely in place.

Once positioned over the queen, the cage keeps her within a defined section of comb while the perforated grid allows airflow and contact with attendant bees.

Easy Entry and Release

A round access opening makes it easier to guide the queen into the cage.

Once she is inside, simply fit the removable cap to secure the opening. When you're ready to release her, remove the cap and carefully lift the cage away from the comb.

How to Use

Step 1 — Position
Place the cage over the selected area of comb and gently press the legs into the wax.

Step 2 — Guide the Queen In
Carefully guide the queen through the round entry opening.

Step 3 — Secure
Insert the removable cap and confirm that the cage is seated securely against the comb.

Step 4 — Release
When confinement is complete, remove the cap and carefully lift the cage from the comb.
